Nara Rohit wears many hats; he is an actor, producer, singer, all rolled into one. Although he made his debut with Baanam in 2009, he gained widespread recognition with Okkadine, in the year 2013. Rohith is undoubtedly one of the bankable actors of Telugu Cinema.
Hailing from the esteemed first family of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Rohit was born on 25th July 1985 in Tirupati. Rohit is the son of Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, brother of Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
His academic qualifications are impressive; schooling in Hyderabad and Intermediate in Vignan College at Vadlamudi. Later he did his B. Tech. at Anna University, Chennai, in Industrial Bio-Technology. In addition to that, he did a course in acting from the New York Film Academy, New York, along with the filmmaking course in Los Angeles. Besides acting, he also runs Aran Media Works, a film production company.
Rohit started his career by donning the role of ‘Bhagat Panigrahi’ in the Telugu film ‘Baanam in 2009.’ Along with being a great actor, at the same time, he is blessed with a melodious voice. As a singer, he has sung the song ‘Teenmaar’ for the Telugu film ‘Savitri’ and rendered voice over as a narrator for Telugu flick ‘Swamy Ra Ra in 2013.
Rohit’s made a debut as a producer in 2014 with the Telugu film ‘Nala Damayanti.’ His dream character is “Duryodhana,” from the Mahabharata, which has many hades.
Politics being in his blood, he naturally supports Telugu Desam Party and campaigned extensively before 2014 general elections.
Rohit has gained accolades for his work in films like Baanam, Solo, Prathinidhi, Rowdy Fellow, Asura and JyoAchyutananda. He is known to pick off beat subjects, cutting away from the regular norms of commercial elements.
