Chuck Robbins, CEO of the US tech giant Cisco said that the company has the strong local team containing over 10,000 workforces in India to drive growth and the same is likely to be 10% of its global revenue in upcoming years.
For the Company, India falls under the largest markets along with the US, Japan, and China. Stating to PTI, CEO further added that over last several years, the company is recording a balanced growth. At the time of starting business initiatives in India, the revenue share was minimal, but it’s increasing rapidly and within 10 years, will touch the double-digit revenue share of the total revenues of the company.
Aiming triple folded growth
Although Robbins didn’t reveal the current contribution of Indian market, he stated that in the Financial Year 2018, Cisco’s global revenue increased to USD 49.3%. Major growth has been registered in the software and security vertical businesses. Aiming triple folded growth in Small and Medium Business (SMB), the company has set a record of adding approximately 5000 new customers in just 12 months.
New generation technology
Robbins gave the credit of growth to three factors, one being belief in power technology by the government as well as the private sector, second being strong local team and the third as Cisco’s innovative efforts in the country. Describing the vision for 5G technology, Robbins said that the India team will play a key role in providing faster internet speeds, smooth connectivity, and will be named as new generation technology for every layman.
Showering accolades on the Indian team of the company, Robbins concluded that Cisco guarantees quality of services, and is working on software as well as hardware aspects of the products. Growth is expected for all the terms in India.
